Dave Zulkiewski, Lahser's Engineering and Architectural Drafting teacher, was surprised in his classroom on Friday, May 18, 2007 by Brian Glowiak, VP of the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund, with the Walter P. Chrysler Award. This honor is awarded to teachers who discover creative ways to involve students in technological education and encourage students to excel in science, technology, engineering and math. Channel 4 WDIV/TV reporter Andrew Humphrey was also present to interview Dave and capture this exciting moment.

Lahser was presented a check for $15,000 dollars on Dave's behalf!

Dave received an official recognition at a banquet this past Saturday night in Detroit. Al Birkholtz from BH Middle School was also the grand prize winner in the the middle school division.
