Rocket Launch Day
An Annual Event for Bloomfield Hills Physics Students
On May 24, 2006, retired Physics Teacher, Bob Parys, continued the tradition
he started back in the 1980's. Physics students are required to build and launch their rockets
three times, as part of their final project for their Physics class.

The purposes of the rocket project are as follows;
1. To give students an opportunity to participate in a hands-on
project that involves building and creativity.
2. Students must read and follow the instructions in building their
rocket so that it will fly high and true.
3. They must use their own creativity in painting it because the
rocket must also look pretty!
4. The look of accomplishment and joy on their faces when they launch
their rocket is a sight to be held!!
5. Besides, this project demonstrates that Physics can be Phun!!!
