ITEMS TO CONSIDER ABOUT COLLEGES
- Most colleges prefer students to carry at least four academic classes per semester.
- Students need to maintain or continually improve their grade point average over each semester.
- Remember that most colleges re-compute academic grade point averages.
- Even though we do not weight honors and advanced placement classes, many colleges give these courses additional consideration when re-computing academic grade point average.
- World language may be a requirement for admission. Some colleges are now requiring a minimum of two years of a world language years of one language.
- Remember that Lahser’s graduation requirements are minimal. Many colleges would prefer to see:
4 credits in english
3-4 credits in both math and science
3 credits in social studies
2 credits in world language
