COLLEGE VISITS FOR 2010
Representatives from many colleges and universities visit our students each fall (see the list from 2009-2010 in the right column). Junior and Senior students are encouraged to sign up to meet with representatives from three (3) colleges they are considering applying to. Stop in the CRC to begin planning your visits for the fall of 2010.

PAYING FOR COLLEGE
Students are encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1, 2010, by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Application deadline for the State of Michigan is March 1, 2010.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Big Sun Scholarship - The scholarship for the BigSun Organization has a deadline of June 24, 2010. This scholarship helps young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. The successful applicant will be currently involved in athletics in some capacity, either with their school or for their community. The award is $500.00. CAREER RESEARCH SITES
Career Cruising - Career Cruising is the internet-based website tool the Lahser counseling department uses with its students to develop their Educational Development Plan (EDP) and to plan for and explore careers @ www.careercruising.com. Students complete sessions once a year with their counselor and are also welcome to continue using this powerful tool at home. Usernames and passwords are available to parents and students in the CRC.
Bridges - http://www.mi.cx.bridges.com. Bridges is another tool that can be used by students and parents in school or at home. Stop in the College and Career Center for access user names and passwords.
